“The Gulfood exhibition is very important for us as it gives us a chance to meet all our clients from all around the world,” explained Salem El Gendy, the ECC’s General Manager. “Also, it provides us the opportunity to showcase what’s new for us, which is our artichokes product launch and new markets entry this year.”
El Gendy highlighted that in Gulfood 2010, the volume of visitors was much higher than in any other year. Additionally, he noted that there were visitors from many more nationalities.
“Due to the diversity of visitors and busy nature of the exhibition this year, we were able to establish several new contacts,” explained El Gendy, “And that’s why we explored many new opportunities.”
The ECC produces and cans olives, olive oil and artichokes for Americana. Today, the ECC produces 99 percent of its olives from its own farms.
The ECC is one of the export leaders in several countries in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Canada and the United States. In addition to retail sales, the ECC supplies its products to over 850 restaurants in the Middle East and other food service sectors.
