Area high school students and GED recipients now have additional time to apply for a $1000 or $5000 scholarship to Dade Medical College. The deadline to submit an application to the awarding body – the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges (FAPSC) – was moved from March 12, 2010 to April 9, 2010.

To be considered for a scholarship, the student must have been a Florida high school senior with a 2.0 GPA or higher and have graduated during the 2009 – 2010 school year or awarded a GED between March 1, 2009 and February 26, 2010. Applicants will also be required to write a 300-word essay answering the following questions:
1. Why have you chosen this particular career?
2. How will this program of study help you obtain that career?
3. Why do you want to attend this particular institution?
Each application will be evaluated by a FAPSC independent scholarship committee. Applicants may download an application online by navigating here: http://fapsc.org/

Dade Medical College has also been approved by the Florida Board of Nursing and the Florida Board of Massage.
