SavingHomesAcrossAmerica.com operates as a conduit of funding for the troubled housing industry. Monies that are collected go to housing centric organizations, but more importantly, money is going directly to the people. The promotion of “One year mortgage or rent free” individuals who support the program contribute and have the opportunity to have their mortgage or rent paid for one year (12 months). This is accomplished by the sale of its “Bands” that entrants display on their wrists. The bands represent the “banding together for one common good”.
Far from solving the housing crisis, this is a program aimed at aiding real people. If we can keep people in their homes for one year while they find a job, pay aging credit card debts or even use the extra cash in local shops, we can uplift local morale as well as stimulate local economies. A program like this will bring real, visible, positive results, one household at a time. People are purchasing bands to help others and to have the chance to win a year of living mortgage or rent free .
The band is $20.00 and the odds are 1 in 3000. Feedback has already been incredibly positive. “That is less than I pay for lottery tickets on a weekly basis and the odds are far better” said a New Yorker who said she was going to purchase a band. Local radio stations are engaged to participate and the drawings will be broadcast live.
