BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma - Locally owned and operated full service home improvement company 1st Choice Exteriors, in partnership with their new 1st Choice Restoration division, has recently initiated the 1st ever Project Give Back to reinvest a portion of their profits back into the surrounding community. Through an online open forum project submission and voting process, the public will get to decide exactly where and how these funds are used.
"Our version of profit sharing may be a little different than that of a major corporate entity found on Wall Street, but by investing a portion of our earnings back into the communities that we live, work, and play in, we honestly feel like everybody wins," said Kurt Lehman, owner of 1st Choice Exteriors. "My wife Amber and I feel like we have a responsibility to give to others, just as we have been given to, but we refuse to believe that our company can collectively come up with the best or greatest idea on how to use these funds."
During 1st Choice Exteriors first year of operation they had the opportunity to provide the roof on Habitat for Humanity Tulsa's landmark 200th home. Since the completion of that project in May of 2009 the changes in the national and local economy has negatively affected many businesses, as well as the individuals associated with those businesses. "We hope to start a chain reaction throughout the business community. A lot of people see things as really dark right now due to their circumstances, but if you light a candle in the corner of a dark room things brighten up. The more candles you light, the brighter the room gets for everyone." added Kurt.
The current phase of Project Give Back involves the submission of feedback and ideas involving what the 1st Annual Project Give Back will be. Submissions can be placed through the company website (www.1stChoiceExteriors.com)
Founded in October of 2008, 1st Choice Exteriors LLC offers complete home protection and improvement options.
