Community Optician Nominated for Optician of the Year
Alisdair Buchanan owner of Buchanan Optometrists has reached the finals (as one of five) to be Optometrist of the Year.
Based in Snodland, Kent for over 10 years, Buchanan Optometrists has strived to offer the best service to the local community – which is now being recognised in being shortlisted for these awards.
Initially nominated for the award through testimonials from patients, industry and hospital colleagues, Alisdair has made it through to the final judging on Friday 12th Feb 2010, with the winner being announced on April 17th 2010.

Buchanan Optometrists have an unprecedented record at the annual awards, having previously been shortlisted as technology practice twice and dispensing optician of the year. This year in addition they are also being nominated for Premium Lens Practice of the Year and Individualised Lens Practice of the Year.
Buchanan Optometrists are highly skilled and technically advanced opticians in Kent. They serve the local community by being part of the community Ophthalmology team for West Kent Primary Care Trust triaging and assessing patients referred by other opticians and G.P.’s across Kent.
