Methodology:
The workshop design is based on strong conceptual framework, interactive approach, experiential insights and application for result oriented outcomes.
Desired Target Participants:
The program will be designed for HR Practitioners with 3-10 years work experience.
The Faculty: Mr. Udai Upendra
Udai is a Graduate in Management from BHU and Post Graduate from XLRI. He is also an alumnus of Ashridge University (UK), IMD (Lausanne), Center for Creative Leadership (North Carolina), Indian School of Business, and Stanford (California)
He began his career as a Management Graduate with a large business house in India, and gained
exposure in Commercial and Human Resources Practices. With initial learning’s in General Management, he then took a sabbatical to specialize in Organizational Behavior.
Thereafter, next 25 years, his career assignments placed him with large multinational companies and their affiliates, namely, Hindustan Unilever, Colgate Palmolive, and with Ranbaxy, known and recognized for their human capital practices.
At Hindustan Unilever, he worked for over 12 years, moving across locations as Human Resource
professional and lastly on secondment as Corporate Human Resource Development Manager for Lipton.
Udai, then moved to Colgate Palmolive (India & neighboring countries) and worked as Vice President Human Resources and a member of Management Committee for about nine years. At Colgate, he gained extensive exposure in the area of Strategy, M&A, People Processes and Organizational Development. Engagement with several global task forces, exposure to cross-cultural experience and projects/training assignments at several countries helped him gain global perspective of human capital management. During this period he also contributed actively in area of leadership, people development and talent management.
Consequently, he joined Ranbaxy in 2001 and built a strong global team of HR professionals across several geographies. He was last designated as President & Head Global Human Resources. Many people and business processes were launched as seamless intervention for over 50 countries.
Udai is actively associated with Employer Organizations, Management Institutes, Universities and
Professional bodies/Associations, as a member and guest speaker. He also taught at leading Indian management/ Engineering institutes, and addressed a Global Conference at San Diego on leadership, organized by Conference Board, USA.
