Feb. 25, 2010 - PRLog -- “Who Killed Uncle Pete?” The hit stage play sold out twice in a row at the 14th Street Playhouse in Atlanta, Georgia.  And the first city on the tour is Greenville, Mississippi scheduled for May 15, 2010 at the E. E. Bass Cultural Arts Center, 332 S. Main Street, Greenville, Mississippi 38701 at 8:00 p.m.  This play first hit the stage on June 26-27, 2009 and proved to be a hit.  Because of the public’s overwhelming response, the play returned to the 14th St. Playhouse on January 22-23, 2010 for a repeat.

The Saturday show actually sold out a week prior.  After waiting in line, fans were disappointed because they were unable to purchase tickets, yet the morale changed very little.  The house manager turned on the speakers in the lobby so that fans, who weren't able to attend the show, could at least sit in the lobby and listen.  When Sherry was informed of this, she hurriedly dressed and went out into the lobby to apologize to the guests.  To show her appreciation, Sherry gave the guests t-shirts and the opportunity to take pictures by the photographers with assurance that the pictures would be posted on the company’s website.  At the end of the show, these fans were still happily awaiting the opportunity to meet the entire cast.  She stated, “I was truly shocked.  I didn’t know what to expect when I went out to meet the guests.”  I walked away encouraged,

Following the company’s motto Dare to Dream in Color, many have been stunned with disbelief when Sherry announced that “Who Killed Uncle Pete?  was a skit written for a murder-mystery party and performed in her backyard in Decatur, Georgia - truly a success story – from the backyard to selling out at the 14th Street Playhouse.  She explains, “Dare to Dream in Color means that it is not enough to have dreams - you must have faith; and not only that - you must be willing to step out on faith and allow God to lead you.  Believe in yourself before ever trying to convince someone else to do so.  God gave me the vision.  I saw the title of my play in lights – I saw my name in lights.  I believed what God showed me and then I went to work.  It took one year to see my dream come to fruition; it took hard work and sacrifice.  My family in Greenville actually traveled to Atlanta in June to show their support.  Oblivious of the crowd on opening night, I held my mom and I cried.  I know my success is attributed to God and the people He places in my life.”

This play is hilarious and Uncle Pete is a riot.  This play focuses on "life issues" of all races.  “This is not a Bible-bashing, male or female bashing play.”  The elements include comedy, mystery, life lessons, encouragement, repentance, hope and happiness.  This production has a flare of Mississippi culture, and it will keep you guessing until the very end.  With clean, family-fun, "Who Killed Uncle Pete?" has proven to be a big hit sure to have you walking away in laughter.

Synopsis:  Who Killed Uncle Pete?:  Most families have at least one family member where you dread their appearance at any family gathering because of their rude behavior. In the McCloud Family, that relative is Uncle Pete, who shows up uninvited, insults several family members, and ends up dead. Who actually killed Uncle Pete? Hard to determine when so many people wanted him dead.

When asked why the first stop on the tour is a small city in Mississippi, Sherry states, “Why not – I am as much a part of Greenville as Greenville is a part of me; and I am grateful for humble beginnings.  Yes, Atlanta has shown us love, but I don't expect anything less from my hometown.
