Vaquar Shaikh
Vaquar Shaikh, a name which the audience has missed almost for two years on the small screen, is back to tellyland with the longest running flagship show of Sahara One “Woh Rehnewali Mehlon Ki”. He plays a mature lover , Shekhar Agarwal, opposite Payal (Neha Desai). When we asked Vaquar about his return to the small screen and how it felt to step on a set again, he said, “I am undoubtedly excited about two things in particular about my return. More than coming back to television, what enticed me to this serial is that firstly it is by the oldest and most reputed production house like Rajshri Productins and that my character is that of a mature lover who falls in love with Payal (Neha Desai) because of reasons unlike a usual love story and the track is very strong”. Vaquar met old pals like Aliraza Namdar and Bhairavi Raichura on the sets, he chuckles “Everyone on the sets is so in sync with the show it seems nothing is going to stop them for completing a few more years”. The first day, Vaquar shot in a real dance bar and said, “It was the first time I have been to a bar because I don’t drink and it was a different experience…I feel sympathy for the bar-dancers who have to do this for their living”. While Vaquar was missing from the small screen, he dabbled in theatre and performed a play, acted in two telegu films and one Punjabi film. Let’s see how the audiences react to this matured move of Rajshri while Vaquar keeps his fingers crossed
