New Feature in Application Monitor as nMetrics introduces Cloud Assurance Traffic Accounting

While Cloud computing provides increased IT flexibility and lower operational costs, it also shifts IT management priorities from the network core to the WAN/Internet connection. Without a good network monitoring and reporting solution in place, ensuring adequate bandwidth capacity can potentially become a very serious issue.

CATA also provides departmental chargeback, where it can assign dollars to that bandwidth, allowing IT staff to calculate bandwidth usage invoices directly from the device.

nMetrics CATA reports provide a summary of the total Internet bandwidth used by Cloud service and non-Cloud service sites, giving an executive-level view of Internet bandwidth to support business critical Cloud services versus bandwidth used for employee web access.
