Rebecca's Reads once again honors the best books in numerous categories that were published in 2009 by self-published authors and independent publishers (subsidy, print-on-demand, small press, and university press).
Each year Rebecca's Reads, a book review and author publicity service, hosts its annual literary awards. The awards are open to all authors, regardless of residency, provided the author’s book was published in the English language and targeted toward the North American reading audience. Books published by major publishers, their subsidiaries or imprints are not eligible.
The judges consist of the Rebecca's Reads staff of reviewers. Reviewers are avid readers and experts in their fields, and they are representative of an author’s target reading audience. Criteria for judging is content/originality, presentation/
