Full time caregiving is an exhausting job, but a group of members from www.thealzheimerspouse.com, joined Patrick Toal from www.caregivercruises.com, for respite, shopping, eating, swimming with the dolphins, sightseeing, caregiving seminars, and support groups, on the Celebrity Century cruise ship from February 15-20th. They left from Miami, Florida, and toured Key West and Grand Cayman.
Joan Gershman, founder of www.thealzheimerspouse.com, the #1 site on the Internet for support and information for spouses of Alzheimer/Dementia patients, and Patrick Toal, geriatric social worker, and owner of Open Seas Travel Company joined forces to shine some sun and bring rest and enjoyment to overworked caregivers.

The idea for a respite cruise for caregivers was conceived by Patrick Toal of www.caregivercruises.com. It is his goal to put joy into the lives of harried caregivers.
