Celebrity Moms to Receive Humanitarian Award in Atlanta, Georgia

Feb. 24, 2010 - PRLog -- ATLANTA, GA – Celebrity Hip-hop Moms Aliyah Najm (T-Pain’s mom), Jacida Carter (Lil’ Wayne’s mom) and H. Loraine Smith (Ne-Yo’s mom) will receive a humanitarian award in music and television at the first annual “Queens in our Communities” celebration on March 7, 2010.  They will be the first to receive this prestigious award. The celebrity/entrepreneur moms will kick off their talk show, Dinner Table Discussions later this year.  

EOTM Radio & Media and the Queens of Internet Radio, sponsors of the event, will kick off the award ceremony with a dinner and entertainment gala on Sunday, March 7, 2010, from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m., at the Historic Highland Inn & Ballroom in Atlanta, GA.  Gospel Artist J.E. Jones, along with other celebrity guests is scheduled to perform in honor of the women. Other women from around the United States will also be honored. Proceeds from the event will benefit programs to develop a supportive networking system for women entrepreneurs in America and abroad.

“These women we will honor have an above average entrepreneurial spirit, high ethics and community spirit, financial and management skill coupled with creativity and out of the box thinking,” says Program Director Carla Barnes.  “The event is designed to ignite the fire and inspire a whole new generation of empowered women across the country.  This collaborative effort makes possible a unique and informative award ceremony/conference to the future of women in Atlanta and beyond as we celebrate Women History’s month.”
