Galway Bay and Annapolis Accommodations Look to Make a Difference
Annapolis, MD- On Sunday, Feb. 28, Galway Bay and Annapolis Accommodations have come together to create an afternoon of music, dining and fun at Galway Bay. 100% of the proceeds will go towards Operation USA in order to aid Haiti.
By coming to the fundraiser, people in the area will have the opportunity to help the children and families in Haiti. For individuals who have not yet donated or want to donate more this is a great way to do it. "If we can get 100 people that’s $4,000 and that’s a lot," said Fintan Galway, owner of Galway Bay. "I think it's very important that people know that every penny is going to the charity."
Galway Bay and Annapolis Accommodations chose Operation USA because they are a credible and reliable foundation. Operation USA is known for staying in communities long after many leave in order to provide ongoing support, materials and funds to rebuild. The people of Haiti are in dire need of help from the rest of the world. Most Haitian's only live on $2 a day. This fundraiser makes it possible for Annapolitan's to make a difference on a larger scale. "It doesn’t matter where you are from or where you live we ALL have a responsibility to help those in need either at home or abroad," said Sarah Hartman of Annapolis Accommodations.
The fundraiser will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Feb. 28 at Galway Bay on 63 Maryland Ave. Tickets for the benefit will cost $40. Any additional donations will be accepted.
