Tenet Computer Group's RFID Tagging - How Does It Work? As part of its standard PC Rollout/Refresh service, Tenet will affix an RFID tag with 4 pieces of information:
If desired, Tenet will also affix a traditional human readable Asset Tag (label) supplied by the client, and optionally apply Operation Providence engravings for theft-deterrence.
Tenet also provides, at no charge to its Customers, access to our award winning eFusion system, which provides comprehensive Asset information, including product specifications, acquisition, deployment and service history. Information in eFusion is automatically updated as Tenet fulfills, deploys or services your assets. To jumpstart the value of our RFID service, Tenet also supplies one RFID Reader, as well as Tenet’s RFID Asset Management Application software to pull it all together.
When used with a mobile PC in a WiFi-enabled environment, this solution provides your staff with easy access to comprehensive Asset information right from the user’s deskside.
Tenet’s RFID Asset Management Application provides the following functionality:
~ Asset Identification:~
> A standalone function that discovers all RFID tags within range and allows the user to view the identifying information stored in the tag.
> The user can also capture and save the information to a local file which can later be uploaded and consolidated to produce an inventory count report.
~ Asset Interrogation:~
> A connected function that lets you select a discovered RFID tag and query Tenet’s eFusion system to obtain product specifications and comprehensive Asset information.
Information in eFusion includes: Detailed product specifications (including image). 31 data fields of Asset information, regarding Identification, Status, Deployment, History, and Service Record. 30 data fields for each Service Call/Incident, including Identification, Classification, Status, Details, and History. This function can be customized to also interface with other internal applications, e.g. an ITIL CMDB.
~Asset Management:~
> A connected function that allows authorized users to update Asset status and deployment information, or place a Service Request, right from the user’s deskside.
