Dr. Taji Huang, a licensed clinical psychologist who works with both adolescents and adults, has opened a private practice to expand her work to the West Los Angeles area. In addition to direct therapeutic work, Dr. Huang also offers clinical supervision to other mental health professionals. Dr. Huang has dedicated the past 12 years of her career to the field of mental health in a very broad range of mental health settings. She has had the privilege of working closely with children, adolescents and adults in individual, couples, family and group settings.
She has advanced training and expertise in helping people navigate their way through life's difficulties, including such common sources of distress as anxiety and depression, sexual trauma, PTSD, relationship difficulties, family and career conflicts, psychological pain caused by physical illness, work stress, childhood abuse, and low self-esteem. Her practice of clinical psychology is fairly general, meaning that she has the training and experience to treat a wide range of psychological difficulties.
Dr. Huang has professional training in cognitive behavioral therapy for depression, traumatic stress and suicide; various evidence-based treatments; cognitive therapy for suicidal patients; evidence-based treatment for child and adult trauma; and dialectical behavior therapy for borderline personality disorder.
Dr. Huang's office is currently accepting new clients. She is interested in being in contact with local high school psychology departments, local criminal lawyers in need to psychological evaluations for their clients, physicians, and anybody who is interested in contacting her about private sessions.
