PRLog (Press Release) - Feb 23, 2010 -
Rock for Humanity, in support of Free the Children and Toronto’s homeless community, is hosting a benefit concert with Rebel Emergency and more this February 25th at Toronto’s legendary Horseshoe Tavern. In order to focus awareness on Toronto’s homeless, Rock for Humanity volunteers will spend 24 hours leading up to the show outside, on the streets, creating a public awareness of homelessness during the One Night Out initiative.

From 8pm on February 24th until 8pm on February 25th, One Night Out volunteers will camp out in a high-traffic area of Toronto to spread awareness and raise money for the homeless. Similar initiatives will take place across Canada that night, with volunteers taking to the streets to talk to the public during the massive camp out. Rock for Humanity will be on hand to help answer questions and take care of the volunteers, and in Toronto everyone will wrap up at the February 25th show at the Horseshoe Tavern.

The show promises an exciting line up of indie talent, including The Camel Tones, Thunderhawks, The Organ Thieves, Mooseblood, plus Rebel Emergency; and Rock for Humanity has pledged 100% of the profits towards Toronto’s homeless community. For only $10 attendees can gain entrance to the show and directly support Free the Children and local homeless initiatives.
