MEMPHIS- Odyssey Medical announces a 92% retention rate for the Parasol® Punctal Occluder. In a recent study, Dr. Craig McCabe examined 108 patients who had failed on artificial tears and received the Parasol Punctal Occluder. 91% of patients reported that their eyes had more moisture, and 77% stated fewer dry eye symptoms. Snellen acuity improved by one or more lines in 43% of the eyes. Plug retention, which is often an issue with various punctal plugs, was very high, at 92%.
