The attempt by the destinations from across the United Kingdom to celebrate the British Tourism Week sponsored by VisitBritain from March 15 to 21 has been joined by thje Tunbridge Wells Borough Council.
It is interesting that a couple of opportunity offerings by the tourist information centre of Tunbridge Wells operated by the council would stand for the local residents to enjoy by discovering what visitor millions came to experience from the Tunbridge Wells area.
On March 20 the council will offer the local residents free guided walks starting from the tourism centre in the Pantiles. The timings of the walk will be 2pm, 3pm and 4 pm. It will take an hour to conclude the tour that covers High Street, Chalybeate Spring and Pantiles.
More ardent takers can enjoy the regularly held guided walking tours offered on every Thursday and the mornings of Saturdays from the month of March to December. This indeed is a marvelous way of learning about the vibrant history of the town and the many famous visitors that had visited the town over the last four hundred years.
The visitors to the tourism centre will also be offered the opportunity to win a Weald Family Pass’s Seven Wonders by entering a free lucky draw. The offer will allow the winner savings of more than GBP 150 while visiting the High Weald local attractions.
It is also worth mentioning here that VisitBritain, the national tourist board has been encouraging all the destinations in the United Kingdom to participate in the annual British Tourism Week.
