ITAM 360™ -- the first hosted, interactive IT asset management (ITAM) knowledge base and assessment system – will be available starting March 1, 2010, as announced by the International Association of IT Asset Managers, Inc. (IAITAM).
ITAM 360™ is a robust best practices knowledge base that encompasses software and hardware asset management. The financial, operational, inventory and contractual management of these critical assets and the interrelationships of the processes are easily referenced through an interactive interface. As an online subscription service, professionals - from administrators through senior executives - receive practical information, analysis tips and action steps that lead to successful attainment of savings, performance, accountability and compliance.
ITAM 360 is the culmination of eight years of IT Asset Management industry leadership, six years of best practice research as well as the practical experiences from thousands of members and class participants worldwide.
In addition to the best practice knowledge base, ITAM 360 features:
--Assessment. ITAM 360 offers a guided assessment function that determines a comprehensive maturity level for each process area. With this baseline and the explicitly described gap with best practices, practical roadmaps are easily developed.
--Performance Model. The performance model evaluates a comprehensive list of 12 key process areas, measuring independently as well as comparing to industry ratings.
--Extensibility. ITAM 360 easily integrates and shows how models such as the Information Technology Infrastructure Library® (ITIL®) and standards such as the ISO/IEC for software asset management are helping to close the knowledge gap.
"ITAM 360 is a practical and efficient means to enable organizations to gain the highest value from IT assets regardless of size or type of organization,"
