The fact is no one is perfect, and in view of this concept, you have to make a self analysis and determine your own weaknesses and vulnerability. This way, you can focus on finding out the means to improve your skills as a leader and the best way to do this is to ask your staff about some feedbacks about the things they would like to see changed. As a result, you will earn their respect for giving them the chance to speak their minds in a very important issue such as that.

A good leader always makes an effort to listen and understand his staff’s concerns. Someone who doesn’t take their feelings or suggestions for granted, instead he tries to make them feel comfortable at work no matter how busy he is with other matters. When people at work feel that they are valued, it will result to more productivity from these individuals.

A good way to earn both staff and clients trust is to build relationship. As a leader he must be a role model and make others see that he can be trusted, it may take time but will definitely earn you respect. When a leader sets a good example, he will not have a hard time to make people follow his ideas.

So it is very important to spend some time in getting to know everyone that you work closely with, make them feel comfortable at work and always value their inputs. In the long run this could increase their loyalty to you and your company.
