PRLog (Press Release) - Feb 23, 2010 -
Good morning and oh yeah ... week 6 baby, really starting to fall into a grove with my training and starting to click into what I need to be doing each day - funny when you are training for something like a sport; you aren't so concerned with how you look at the gym or what that guy that keeps taking your equipment is thinking!!!

It's more of a mindset of, I HAVE to do this and if that means finding another exercise then that's what I'll do but I HAVE to be in here to train so I don't DIE on the mountain... I have never felt like that before; gotta say... it's the best feeling!!

Diet - really the same as my other weeks: eggs, chicken, tuna (lots of tuna) brown rice, protein shakes and for a treat a bowl of rice checks and soy milk sometimes! I have added a cheat meal (not a full day, just one meal) on Sundays and my rule is I have to have it for lunch so I can still workout and eat clean before bed - normally that cheat is mexican food and this week is no different; my wife stopped at a tamale stand on the side of the road that is ALWAYS busy and got me 6 hand made tamales - oh yeah, can't beat that!!!

Supplements:
Anabolic Raptor, 1x a day (recovery, recovery, recovery... all those BCAA's and Karbo-Lyn are helping BIG TIME!!!)
Vital Core 2x a day (Multi-Vitamin!!!)
Xtreme Greens 2x a day (helping keep all those free-radicals from breaking down the hard work I'm doing in the gym!!)
Tren 13-Eythl, 3x a day (boosting test levels, that'll help with fat loss and lean muscle gains without the bloat or water weight most pro-hormones give their users!)
Red Stinger Xtreme, 2x a day (Energy + Ephedra = quicker weight loss!!!)
Red Stinger Shot, one shot before a workout (energy to get me through the workouts - easy energy that keeps GOING!!!)
MaXX Digestion, 1cap before each meal (huge help with digestion, no bloat, no uneasy feeling after eating and with eating all this protein that's HUGE for me... I'm sold!!!)
Cardio: I had to pair back my cardio due to my high-volume weight training this week, for the next 4 weeks I'll be doing this program.
Monday - 45min HIIT Fasted & 45min HIIT in the PM
Tuesday - 20min HIIT Fasted & 20min HIIT PM
Wednesday - 45min HIIT Fasted & 45min HIIT in the PM
Thursday - 20min HIIT Fasted & 20min HIIT PM
Friday - NONE (calves so sore I can hardly walk!!)
Saturday - NONE (again, legs to sore to run... taking another day off from cardio!)

Well, there it is... week one... feel over all good about making it and I'm excited to see my progression since I know this week was a crazy shock to my system; I bet next week it'll be a lot easier and I can focus on form and adding some weight!!

Strength feel great, as far as size goes I don't take pictures or measurements (except my waist) but I feel a lot bigger and my shirts are defiantly getting a LOT tighter in the back, chest and arms... so that's pretty cool!

So, results ... yes results are in - down to 213 lbs and my waist came in at 36" - grand total of 37lbs and 9" around my waist so far; least you think I'm only concerned about the scale I'm not, my main goal is to come to this climb as lean (less weight I carry on me, means more weight I can carry on my back!!) as possible with the MOST amount of muscle I can.

The weight to power ratio is what's important for me, if I can weight in at 200lb and have the power of someone weighing 260lb then that's going to be a HUGE help with I strap a 85lb pack on my back!! What I'm really going for is that fast twitch, explosive muscle tissue, that's what's needed along with endurance for these high-altitude climbs!!

I'm not sure what's next after this 100 Grim Repper is over, (I got another 3 weeks to think about that!) I would like to try something out of the box like maybe a Kettle-Ball program, something to work on speed - once spring comes on I'll start adding my hiking and longer distance hill work but till then I'm going to put my time in at the gym!!!

Goals - didn't make my big 2hr hill program this week; the 100 repper was more taxing than I thought; I was totally spent each day of the week so I'll post-pone that goal till after this program is over!!

That's it gang... hope you had a great and productive week and you're ready for another one... MORNING!!! Up and att'em!!! Have a great day,
