New Initiative by Southern Lock and Safe

Feb. 23, 2010 - PRLog -- Southern Lock & Safe are asking all Management companies that look after blocks of new build and conversion flats to contact them to upgrade their communal door entry locks.

They have noticed a marked increase in the amount of burglaries through these doors in recent months. Innovations in the lock market now mean that there are electric releases that work with better quality and higher security nightlatches. This provides greater security to the door and better protection to the individual flats.

If you include these better quality locks and releases with common sense, i.e, reduce the amount of hours the trade button stays active, or even better, disconnect the trade button and have outside letterboxes fitted. Couple this with a correctly adjusted door closer and it can effectively stop opportunist burglaries through communal doors.
