As a way to thank site readers and celebrate the site's 2-year anniversary, Fantasy Baseball Dugout announced a special contest and giveaway on Tuesday featuring Fathead Sidekicks of Evan Longoria, third baseman of the Tampa Bay Rays.
The Fathead Jr's were provided to Fantasy Baseball Dugout (FBD) by 2K Sports, makers of MLB 2K10. Longoria, the 2008 AL Rookie Of The Year and 2009 AL Gold Glove winner at third base, is the cover athlete of MLB 2K10.
"Evan Longoria is one of the highest rated and most popular players in the world of fantasy baseball," said Jonathan Bentz, lead blogger and FBD content director. "His popularity and our interest in doing something special for our readers led us to the decision to give away the Fatheads."
Fantasy Baseball Dugout received the two Fathead Jr's at no charge from 2K Sports in February. Fathead Jr's retail for $39.99, and the Longoria Fathead stands 2'8" high and spans 1'7" wide. Each Evan Longoria Fathead Jr. also includes a Tampa Bay Rays logo emblem and an Evan Longoria-nameplate banner.
To enter to win one of the two Evan Longoria Fathead Jr's from Fantasy Baseball Dugout, interested participants must visit the fantasy baseball blog (http://www.fantasybaseballdugout.com) between Feb. 23 and Feb. 29, 2010. Once on the site, participants can simply e-mail information to the site webmasters. Entrants will entered into two random drawings. Winners will be selected and contacted the week of February 29.
After the winners are contacted, they will have three days to respond and claim their Fathead Jr's. The Evan Longoria Fatheads will then be sent via postal service within a week of the prizes being claimed.
MLB 2K10 will be released on March 2. The game is currently available at most online retailers for pre-order. Pre-orders and online orders for MLB 2K10 between now and April 2 online from the official 2K Sports website will also include a voucher for a FREE Evan Longoria Fathead Jr. at no additional charge.
