Orem, Utah, – Dance and musical talent of all ages are joining together with Wasatch Ballet Conservatory to present three performances of Life in a Labyrinth at the SCERA Center for the Arts. This original stage production is based on Jim Henson’s beloved 1986 film “The Labyrinth” and is sure to be a family favorite for years.
Dancers from across Utah County have been brought together to perform ballet, hip-hop, contemporary and jazz. Some music will be played live, Orem’s children’s choir “One Voice” will be performing throughout, and a live narrator will present the story.
The Orem City CARE grant was awarded to Wasatch Ballet to spearhead the project supporting local cultural arts. Wasatch Ballet is celebrating 10 years of teaching children the love of dance. Life in a Labyrinth director and owner of Wasatch Ballet, Allison Wolsey stated, “We are happy to form an alliance with Orem City. We feel strongly that this program will benefit the arts, not just by offering an affordable and professional performance to the community, but by giving youth an opportunity to perform with professionals.”
Life in a Labyrinth will be performed live at the SCERA Center for the Arts, April 8-10 at 7:30.
