The GrassRoots Steering Foundation, Inc. (GRSF), is pleased to announce its 2010 VOTE THE POWER™ CAMPAIGN! This initiative will commence on Friday, February 26, 2010. Politicians have their own campaigns, VOTE THE POWER!™ is a campaign for the voters. The purpose of the campaign is two-fold:
1. To motivate local communities and communities of color to increase voter registration
and increase participation in the political process.
2. To increase voter registration in the 18-40 year-old population.
The campaign will also utilize social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter to facilitate online collaboration through internet technology to promote outreach. The campaign will work to establish networks of like-minded people and organizations across Maryland, organize outreach activities in local communities and coordinate strategies for precinct development. Planned events, gatherings and rallies will be posted accordingly onto Facebook and Twitter as well as the campaign website: www.votethepower.com
