Welsh born designer Elliott J. Frieze, previously Director of QASIMI and Michiko Koshino, launched his eponymous debut Women's and Menswear Collection today, Sunday 21st February at London Fashion Week with acclaimed models Jacquetta Wheeler and Amber Le Bon both gracing the catwalk for his new label. Front row support came from actress Anna Popplewell and singer Alex Roots.
The launch collection embodies his natural design philosophy and celebrates classic British tailoring, entwined with modernity. Alongside elegant drapery and an amalgamation of texture, Elliott drives the boundaries of structured tailoring to produce a collection of intellectual depth and timeless sophistication.
Inspired by British country pursuits, rolling landscapes and progressive reinvigoration of classic mien, the 30 ensemble Autumn/Winter collection comprises English wools, cashmere and napa with delicately encrusted semi precious Tigers Eye quartz.
The A/W 2010 collection palette portrays the turning of the leaf represented by cognac, mocha and burnt sienna and the bleak arctic grey of winter.
His directional womenswear collection focuses on advanced tailoring trimmed with detail of natural elements together with Metropolis cocktail dresses embedded with semi precious stone for the evening.
For the fashion conscious male he presents a sophisticated, modern collection of classic and hybrid tailored cuts from the finest traditional English cloth.
