Feb. 20, 2010 - PRLog -- Don Braden, President and CEO of Kadel’s Idaho Collision Repair, announced today that Kadel’s ICR has donated $500.00, on behalf of its business associates, to The Idaho Foodbank.  According to The Idaho Food- bank, the amount is enough to provide over 1,000 meals or $2,000 worth of food (approx 1,330 pounds of food) to people in need throughout the state of Idaho.
Jenifer Johnson, Vice President of Development for the Idaho Foodbank, accepted the donation from Kadel’s ICR manager Ron Schug and Marketing Representative Amie Vanek at the Idaho Foodbank’s Boise Facility.
Schug states, “with nearly seventeen million Americans at risk of hunger in the United States, Kadel’s ICR is more than happy to make a donation to The Idaho Foodbank. We’re excited to give back to and be part of such a great community with so many wonderful people in it.”
According to Karen Vauk, President and CEO of The Idaho Foodbank, “The Idaho Foodbank serves Idahoans with free emergency food 117,000 a month. Donations like this are abso- lutely crucial right now, and we are enormously grateful to Kadel’s for their generosity.”
The food bank network in Idaho is serving more people than ever before. In 2009, 142,200 differ- ent Idahoans received  mergency food compared to 89,700 in 2006.“Let’s put that into perspective” says Vauk , “the  Boise State University’s Bronco Stadium seats 32,000. The number of hungry Idahoans in 2006 would have filled that stadium nearly three times.Fast forward to 2009, and that stadium is now being filled nearly five times with hungry people.” During 2009 The Idaho Foodbank efficiently acquired, transported and distributed more than 7.8 million pounds of food.
