Follow on Google News | Tropical Daze Summer Festival Seeks Sponsors and VendorsTropical Daze, a weekend long summer music festival set for Saturday and Sunday, July 24 and 25 in Thousand Oaks, is seeking sponsors and arts, craft and food vendors.
By: Tropical Daze Last year's attendance was 6,000. "This year, we expect over 7,500," says Randy Strong, Tropical Daze organizer and owner of Strong & Associates, a Newbury Park marketing and promotions agency. Strong says he is particularly encouraging local non-profit organizations to use Tropical Daze as a fundraiser by hosting game and food booths. A portion of the overall festival proceeds will benefit Conejo Valley Neighborhood for Learning (CV NfL), a local chapter of First 5 Ventura County. This non-profit organization helps children ages 0 to five reach their highest potential through quality education and programs that encourage family involvement. Sponsors already participating include presenting sponsor Conejo Recreation and Park District, founding sponsor Better Health & Fitness (a chiropractic clinic in Simi Valley), the City of Thousand Oaks, Conejo Guide, Hollywood Storage Center, Cisco's, Hobbs, Big Shots and Thousand Oaks Inn. "Festival sponsorships are available at a number of levels and give local businesses an opportunity to reach an attendance that includes families and couples of all ages," says Strong. The festival features live surf, Hawaiian, Caribbean, Jamaican and Reggae music, a children's activity area with hands-on science exhibits, children's entertainment, arts and craft booths and tropical food. Admission is free. For sponsorship and vendor information contact Strong at 805-499-3412, info@tropicaldaze.org, or visit www.tropicaldaze.org. End
