SEQUIM – Top Tier Trade and Supplier award winners for 2010 were named at the 8th annual Estes Builders Trade and Supplier Construction Conference held on February 9, 2010. This conference allows Estes Builders trade partners to meet together in one room and discuss how they are working together and how they might improve going forward. Kevin Estes presented the top two Trade Partner awards to Tom’s Plumbing and Advanced Door Systems in recognition for their attention to quality in all areas of business. Awards were also presented to Tracy’s Insulation in appreciation of their job site cleanliness, Pro Build for most improved Supplier, Sequim Village Glass for most improved Trade Partner and Titan Builders and Chuck Starr Construction for going the extra mile. Meeting attendees included trades, suppliers, and service contractors that are involved in the building of Estes Builders custom and paired living homes in Sunland North. Key points in the discussion included the state of the current market, updates from past meetings, safety, the importance of keeping job sites clean, professional attire, job ready conditions, final inspection completion, warranty service, and customer satisfaction. “This annual meeting is a time for all of us to collaborate and align our focus for the year we are just beginning, and for us to show appreciation to those who have worked hard by our side all year,” says Mike Lyckman, Estes Builders’ Construction Superintendent who conducted the construction portion of the meeting.
Founded in 1989, Estes Builders designs and constructs custom homes throughout the Olympic Peninsula including Port Angeles, Sequim, Port Townsend and Port Ludlow. They have been a North Peninsula Building Association Built Green member since its inception in 2005 and they are an Energy Star partner. Estes Builders has also received several national accolades.
