Most Charlotte County residents know Port Charlotte Town Center as a place to eat, shop, or catch a movie. Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida is hoping that people grow to think of the shopping center as a place to donate, as well. Goodwill has opened a new Attended Donation Center (ADC) at the mall.
Goodwill (http://www.goodwillswfl.org) has high hopes for the partnership, and hopes the new ADC will provide nearby residents with a more convenient donation option. “This location is great because it’s not only at a popular shopping center, but also because it’s at a major intersection.”
Goodwill also is pleased with the location, which is on the southwest side of the mall, in close proximity to Sears and Regal Cinema. The donation center will be open daily and staffed from 9:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
The Port Charlotte Town Center ADC is Goodwill’s eighth in Southwest Florida. Other donation sites include ADCs in North Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres, Fort Myers, Naples, and Clewiston. The organization also has plans to add an ADC on the southern end of Port Charlotte, on US-41 near the Peace River Bridge.
