The Storage Terminal Operators’ Conference and Exhibition (StocExpo) 2010 in Antwerp, Belgium is an excellent occasion for SGS to present its wide portfolio of services for the oil and chemical tank storage industry including Tank Integrity Assessment, Tank Calibration, Tank Audit, Tank Inspection and Tank Leak Detection. Visit the stand nos. 15 &16 on March 30 to April 1, 2010.
SGS will be presenting information on Non-Destructive Testing methods for the inspection of storage tanks including: Time of Flight Diffraction (ToFD), Phased Array (PA), Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) and Leak Testing. These techniques are suitable for the detection of corrosion and defects in welds as well as leakages in the tank bottom, tank wall or tank shell. One of the most important advantages of using TOFD, Phased Array, Magnetic Flux Leakage and Leak Testing is the combination of a high detection rate with a very high reliability in pre-service and in-service inspections.
