Derr was entrusted with the task of portraying Walker in a humorous yet engaging manner that has his guitar taking on its own persona and finally grabbing the spotlight “for once.” Also, quite prominent is a faux look of worry on the vocalist’s face.
Walker has just received two awards from the famed Bronte Blues Club in Yorkshire Dales, UK. He was named: 2009’s Best Acoustic Guitarist and Best Acoustic Blues Act. He is also a past recipient of the prestigious Blues Challenge Award, been featured at Carnegie Hall in New York City and appeared with performing legends including Richie Havens, Bo Didley and Johnny Winter. He is a resident of Denville, NJ.
Derr has won numerous awards including: the Adobe Digital Imaging Competition, Int'l. Digital Mural Competition and NY Art Director's Club. His works have been featured in Gallery and Studio Magazine, Photoshop User, and Digital Fine Arts Magazine as well as numerous online exhibitions and websites. He studied at The Art Students League in New York City.
Also, Derr has recently formed a partnership with JMG Studio to release an iPhone app IPuzzles plus. This new product will be released later this month and feature some of his digital works.
