Ventura, California, -- The worlds #1 Ride on Toy, the Skitter, was used as part of Games Week on the Ellen DeGeneres show (aired Wednesday, 17, 2010). The Skitter were rode during an obstacle race portion during a game where selected audience members were chosen to participate had to push male models on the Skitter. Skitter Toys was approached by the Ellen Show producers who were desperately trying to find the ride on toy that was drawn to their attention from a staff member who’s child has one. The Skitter’s chosen were Blue that matches Ellen’s set color themes. Additionally, the Skitter cars were upgraded with Polyurethane Wheels that do not scuff floors, significantly quiet the wheel noise and increase the ride on toys performance. Having the upgraded wheels on the sets wood flooring not scuffing was a huge benefit that made the producers very pleased.
The segment was such a huge hit with the live audience but also on The Ellen DeGeneres Facebook fan page logging in over 100 plus comments and 400 plus stating they liked it in just over two hours from posting. Ellen was quoted as saying this is the “best toy ever” and purchased some for the kid’s in her family.
