Reform was appointed by the IPA back in 2009 to develop the industry’s first search qualification for agency practitioners, which the IPA will launch on the 22nd April 2010. The course and examination will be available online to IPA members and will offer a comprehensive education in search marketing, covering 19 core modules including PPC campaign build, SEO compliance, and how to integrate search with other media.
The IPA Search Certificate will help UK media agencies to refine the delivery of search marketing for brands, help brands to be able to distinguish best practice skills in search marketing, and will encourage overall growth in industry standards of service delivery in search.
Interested candidates can enroll now by emailing Kate AT ipa.co.uk
On Reform’s appointment, Patrick Mills, Director of Professional Development at the IPA said: “With Search being the most rapidly growing sector of our industry, and IPA membership, it was vital that we provided an impartial qualification to give new starters in search and media agencies the best possible grounding. Reform Digital came highly recommended from the IPA Search Group and proved to be the strongest candidate in helping us develop the qualification. We are delighted to have them on board for such an exciting project.”
On the development of the Search Certificate, Mark Fagan, Chair of IPA Search Group and Digital Media Director, Golley Slater, said “This is a very welcome and important milestone for the search professional community in the UK. The core objective of the IPA Search Group is to raise best practice and standards of search marketing to a higher level, the development of this qualification will be a key tool for IPA member agencies both now and in the years ahead.”
