Quaker author Eileen Flanagan will be reading from and discussing The Wisdom to Know the Difference at the Regulator Bookshop in Durham at 7PM, February 25. The following day, she will appear on a panel called "Living with Stress" at Duke University's alumnae conference, "Money, Sex, and Power." On Saturday, February 27, she will speak at Durham Friends Meeting on "Discerning and Supporting Leadings," a Quaker term for callings. She will speak following a 5:30 potluck.
Although the three talks seem to be on separate topics, Eileen says they are more connected than they might originally appear. "My work is essentially about learning to live with trust," she explains. "When we do that, our lives become less stressful, and it is easier to discern how we are led to act. Trusting is also connected to "The Wisdom to Know the Difference,"
The events on Thursday and Saturday are open to the public. For more details, please see http://www.eileenflanagan.com/
