The Cape Coral Home and Garden Show was held last weekend, Feb. 13th-14th. The weather was chilly but the crowds were warm and friendly under the big tent at the Coralwood Shopping Center. Carpet Concepts saw a steady flow of people stopping by, looking at the displays of Ceramic tile, carpet, wood and laminate. Although the economy is still hurting in Southwest Florida and especially in the Cape, there seemed to be an aire of optimisim among the visitors to the show as well as the vendors.
We were encouraged by the number of people who told us they were remodeling their homes or have recently purchased a new home. As housing sales start to pick-up, Carpet Concepts is ready to meet the demand. We have increased our stock of carpet and ceramic tile. At the show we handed out hundreds of coupons good for up to $250.00 off the purchase of new floorcovering. We also had a drawing in which we gave away six oriental design rugs to six lucky winners. We spoke with other vendors at the show who also seemed pleased with the turnout. MIchelle of Siesta Pebble Interiors and San with Art by San, both told us that they made a number of good contacts. Hopefully this is a good sign for Cape Coral.
