Audi Q5 Long Island
The Audi Q5 Long Island has become the hottest luxury crossover on the Long Island roads but it is missing from most Long Island Audi dealer inventories. In order to understand this near frenzy for buying a luxury crossover in the very competitive market I had to see the vehicle for myself. Like many of the Long Island Audi shoppers I began my research online visiting virtually every Long Island Audi dealers website to see who actually had the vehicle in stock for me to test drive. Also, like many Long Island Audi Q5 buyers I was quickly frustrated. Most of the websites I visited showed that they had no Audi Q5’s in stock and the few that indicated they had Audi Q5’s in stock I called immediately only to find out that this was not really the case. My frustration ended when I visited http://www.nyaudi.com the website for Long Island Audi dealer and member of the NY Auto Giant Atlantic Audi. Here I noticed right on their homepage a large message, “Audi Q5 Available 15 in Stock”. I called the dealership immediately, spoke to one of their sales people Len Livermore and confirmed that this posted message was in fact accurate. Feeling relieved and being completely honest a little skeptical I drove to Atlantic Audi in West Islip to test-drive this Audi Q5 myself. When I pulled into the parking lot I was in awe of the dealership’s facility which coincidentally reminded me more of a five star hotel than a traditional Long Island Audi dealership and saw a line of 2010 Audi Q5 luxury crossover’s in various colors facing Sunrise Highway for the world to see.
It didn’t take me long to become a fan of the Audi Q5. It has this distinctive styling that clearly separates it from any other luxury crossover vehicle I have ever seen on the road. It is sportier than a station wagon but more compact than a full size SUV. The luxury features such as 3-zone climate control, leather seating surfaces and reclining rear seats along with loads of on board technology including the very cool adaptive electronic stabilization program. Len, the sales person assisting me explained that the Audi Q5 Long Island has three trim levels; Premium, Premium Plus and Prestige are all powered by a 3.2 liter V6 engine, Quattro permanent all-wheel drive, six speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic manual shifting for the more aggressive driving style, Servotronic steering system which adapts with the speed of the car giving more assistance at lower speeds and a sportier feel at higher speeds. I also discovered that the Q5 is filled with great safety features like; dual-stage and chest airbags are standard, as are head protection airbags that deploy in accordance with the rollover sensors. Audi's ESP stabilization system uses ABS, electronic-brake force distribution, electronic differential locks and anti-slip regulation. At this point of my research I am completely sold and possibly the biggest Audi Q5 fan on Long Island.
Now that I understand why the Q5 is in such high demand I concentrated on trying to understand why every other one of the Long Island Audi dealers I spoke with had no Audi Q5 crossovers in stock compared to Atlantic Audi’s 15! I spoke to General Manager Justin Haynes who explained to me, “Cars in general are a commodity some are hot and some aren’t. Right now the entire Audi line up is hot but the Q5 is on fire and not as available. Months ago we made a decision that we were going to be the largest volume Q5 Audi dealer on Long Island and have been ordering and selling them in volume ever since. As a result of our commitment to volume sales of the Q5 we built up our current inventory to 15 with more on the way to replace these when we sell them. We have also made a commitment to maintaining the lowest prices on the entire Audi line up of any Long Island Audi dealer to help us achieve our goal of becoming the number one volume Audi dealer in all of NY and the Q5 is no exception.” After spending just a few minutes with Mr. Haynes I was almost as excited about Atlantic Audi as I was the Q5.
In summary, I can sincerely say that the Audi Q5 deserves all of the attention it is getting and when you combine the available inventory at Atlantic Audi with their beautiful brand new facility and their professional staff they are the best choice for any Long Island Audi shopper.
