Feb. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- Cincinnati, OH - Join Cincy Chic as the Pink Ribbon Girls team up with the American Heart Association for a fun and fabulous Pink Goes Red event on February 17, 2010. Come and enjoy food, wine and cocktails all to benefit the American Heart Association.

“In so many ways our message is the same as the Pink Ribbon Girls– go to your doctor for regular screenings, eat right and exercise to maintain a healthy weight, don’t smoke and know your family history. We are grateful to partner with the Pink Ribbon Girls on Pink Goes Red,” said American Heart Association communications director Lori Fovel. “The primary goal of the Go Red For Women campaign is to raise awareness that heart disease is the number one killer of women and the importance of keeping women healthy.”

Sacksteder’s Interiors and Cincy Chic (www.cincychic.com), the only online lifestyle publication for women in Greater Cincinnati, will host Pink Goes Red. The event will take place at 7747 Kenwood Road, on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

“It means so much to me to be part of a supportive event that helps aid and give hope to those with heart disease and breast cancer,” said owner of Sacksteder’s Interiors Karen Sacksteder. “The Pink Ribbon Girls helped me in my struggle with breast cancer and I want to give back to this wonderful organization so I can help others who might have similar struggles.”

All Pink Goes Red attendees will receive a swag bag filled with lots of goodies! Wear red, pink or both to show your support of these two important causes: breast and heart health. Event also includes raffles and auction items with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association.

RSVP to RSVP@cincychic.com or (513) 721-2445. RSVP not required, but appreciated.
