Feb. 15, 2010 - PRLog -- A new boost for the watchmakers Oris today as new watch enthusiast site timetoimpress.co.uk goes live on Google to promote the Swiss brand and help build it’s name in the UK.

The Swiss-based watch manufacturer, which has been established since 1904 has a fantastic following in Australia but is relatively unheard of in the UK compared to such bigger brands such as Rolex and Omega. While these companies have an extended history of producing quality watches, Oris are by no means lacking in the quality arena. Focussing on only mechanically powered wristwatches Oris have opted to stay away from popular internals such as digital and quartz watches.

Oris swiss watches are proud of their relatively short heritage and celebrate this by building each mechanism with a trademarked Oris red rotor. The red rotor is the intrinsic piece of the mechanism which allowed the timepieces to move from a manually, self-winding mechanism to an automatic, self-powered version. This is due to the red rotor spinning round during everyday movement and in effect, winding the watch, coiling the spring and providing the power to keep on ticking. The red rotor is visible on such models as the Oris Flight Timer (http://www.timetoimpress.co.uk/oris-bc4-flight-timer-watch/) and the BC4.

Timetoimpress.co.uk has chosen to promote Oris as the offer some great watches with some great prices which allow new collectors to build their collection of quality watches without breaking the bank. Available from a network of Oris Authorised Retailers these exclusive watches are available throughout the UK.

Many of the current collector base in the UK are crossovers from the Formula One fanbase of William. Oris have been sponsoring Williams since 2003 and have recently renewed their contract in 2010. Oris and Williams make a great combination as both companies are reliant on precision, quality engineering to bring success, something that both companies do fantastically. Oris have celebrated their partnership by producing the Kazuki Nakajima watch (http://www.timetoimpress.co.uk/oris-kazuki-nakajima-limit...), limited to a run of 1088 pieces.

Oris not only excel in the world of Motor sport but also have a strong brand within the diving fraternity, excelling at producing Diver’s watches their success was celebrated by producing another limited edition model dedicated to Carlos Coste, the world-class freediver and record holder. This was addition to their largest range, the diver’s watch, which currently includes nine models, from the entry level Divers Date upto the top of the range ProDiver Chronograph which is a fantastic piece of engineering and one of the best selling Oris watches.

Timetoimpress.co.uk are proud to promote Oris and their range of mechanical watches throughout the UK. For more information visit http://www.timetoimpress.co.uk
