A Tui Na Training and Certification Program will be offered at Chinese Medicine for Health in Holliston, Massachusetts from April 15 - 18, 2010. No special educational background or experience is required. Upon completion of the course, students will have the practical skills required to safely and effectively administer basic Tui Na massage treatments and will have a strong foundation for further study.
Tui Na is gaining popularity as a powerful therapeutic extension of traditional Western massage methods. Tui Na uses the traditional Chinese medical theory of the flow of Qi (energy) through the meridians as its basic therapeutic orientation. By employing associated massage and manipulation techniques, Tui Na seeks to establish a more harmonious flow of Qi through the system of channels and collaterals, allowing the body to heal itself naturally.
The course is taught by Dr. Aihan Kuhn, CMD, a Chinese Medical Doctor trained in both Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is the author of two books “Natural Healing with Qigong” and “Simple Chinese Medicine: A Beginner's Guide To Natural Healing & Well-Being".
Tui Na treatments help with the prevention of illness, promote well being, decrease stress and relieve pain and aches. In addition, Chinese massage promotes anti aging, tunes up organs, balances body energy and emotion, enhances immunity and maintains healthy metabolism.
The course is recommended for: massage therapists, acupuncturists, yoga instructors, personal trainers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, Reiki practitioners, Qi Gong practitioners,Tai Chi practitioners, martial arts instructors, hands on therapists, or anyone who wants to learn more about energy medicine.
