New York, NY February 7, 2010- Beginning February 5th, the leading trends of the world fashion scene were revealed under white tents in Bryant Park for the 2010 Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week, a semi-annual celebration of men and women's fashion that comprises one of four fashion weeks hosted by the City of New York.
Recent seasons of menswear have revealed a classic American sportswear-inspired wardrobe focusing on torn and stained jeans and jackets, rough plaid prints, and even denim coveralls. This season's New York Fashion Week marked a significant one-eighty with cultured, preppy tailored looks such as menswear designer, Simon Spurr's, double breasted suit variations with polo shirts, dress jeans, and cuffed trousers. High class looks included the quiet sophistication of men's diamond rings, gold watches, belts, and other subtle luxuries.
New York City-based jeweler, G3 Jewelry Inc, a primarily Swiss-Made diamond watch and jewelry maker, has also responded to the appeal of luxury in fashion today when it released a new unique line of customizable men's diamond rings, necklaces, charms, and earrings called “Glitz”. Quincy Brown, CEO of G3 Jewelry Inc states, “With items priced from $1,000 to $150,000, our diverse line of mens' diamond jewelry can accommodate G3 Jewelry's high end clientèle as well as the average diamond jewelry buyer.” The use of diamonds in mens' jewelry adds to the glamor appeal popular in today's fashion. Brown demonstrated his line of jewelry at benefit fashion shows in Miami.
The increase of high end looks in 2010's fashion lines seem to protest the economic recession carried over from 2009. Glamorous clothing, shoes, and jewelry designs should be seen in most retail stores throughout 2010.
