American Grindhouse World Premiere at SXSW 2010

The World Premiere of the long awaited documentary 'American Grindhouse' will be shown at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. American Grindhouse is a featured 'Spotlight Premiere' on the SXSW site.
The first of several screenings through out the festival will be Saturday March 13th, at the Alamo Ritz 2

American Grindhouse" explores the hidden history of the American Exploitation film and digs deep into this often overlooked category of U.S. cinema unearthing the shameless and, occasionally, shocking origins of this popular entertainment.
Narrated by Academy Award-nominated actor Robert Forster, the film boasts exclusive interviews with John Landis, Herschell Gordon Lewis, Joe Dante, Jack Hill, Fred Williamson and many more. "American Grindhouse" was produced, directed, co-edited and co-written by Elijah Drenner and features over 200 clips from some of the most outrageous movies ever made.
