Denville, NJ February 12, 2010. Jane Greenwald of Short Hills, has been appointed a member of the Board of Trustees of NJ Foundation for the Blind (NJFFB) in Denville, NJ.
The mission of NJFFB is to enable adults who become blind or visually impaired to lead independent and productive lives through comprehensive training in assistive technologies, orientation & mobility, adaptive living skills, wellness programs, and peer & family support.
Ms. Greenwald is a Partner in the global executive search firm, Amrop Battalia Winston. The Firm has seven offices in the US, and 82 global offices. It specializes in retained search for executive level individuals in a wide variety of industries and functions.
Prior to her search career, Ms. Greenwald founded the College Bound Advisory Services, was the Director of Corporate Relations for Wagner College where she was responsible for seeking corporate and individual grants, and a Work-Study Coordinator in the Financial Aid Office of Bloomfield College.
“NJFFB touches my heart in that its program combines my love of teaching with the knowledge that adults with vision loss have few options in this world if they do not have the skills that this organization delivers,” said Ms. Greenwald. “I look forward to helping them succeed in bringing more resources to their efforts.”
Ms. Greenwald holds a Master of Science in Education in Personnel Services from Monmouth University and a Bachelor of Science in History from New York University. She began her career as a high school history teacher. Ms. Greenwald is a past President of the Millburn Short Hills Scholastic Boosters, a fund raising organization providing college scholarships to students and she is a member of the Scholarship and Development Committee of the Executive Women of New Jersey.
Ms. Greenwald has been a resident of Millburn and Short Hills for many years.
