Milford, Ohio – Starting in January, the United Church of God began posting brand-new online Bible study lessons on the FreeBibleStudyGuides.org Web site. So far, 22 lessons have been posted, with dozens more in the works.
These short, practical online lessons are designed to deal with challenges people face in life. For example:
• How can I deal with difficult people?
• How can I deal with unemployment?
• How can I find things in the Bible? What are some good online study tools?
• Why does God allow good people to suffer?
• How can humanity be rescued from self-destruction?
• What missing keys do we need to really make life work?
• Why doesn’t God answer my prayers right away?
• What is God’s will for me?
The lessons use stories and scriptures to provide relevant and helpful answers. The lessons also include a practical “Apply Now” section and links to related resources.
“The Bible is a unique book full of inspiration, wisdom and practical answers,” said Mike Bennett, United Church of God editorial content manager. “But it doesn’t claim to be an easy book. It can be intimidating and overwhelming on first glance. These new online Bible Study Guides are designed to help. Our authors search the Scriptures with you in mind, considering what practical answers you need to deal with the real challenges in your life today. We want these lessons to be relevant, engaging and life-changing—
The site is frequently updated with new material, and so students are encouraged to sign up for the brand-new Bible Study Guides e-mail newsletter at http://www.freebiblestudyguides.org/
The United Church of God welcomes suggestions for future lessons or for improving the lessons. “Your input is important to us—you are important to God and to us! May God bless your study of His precious Word,” Mr. Bennett said.
