Texas Hunting Ranch Fulfills Lifelong Dream for Father and Son
Dos Plumas Hunting Ranch played host to a dream-come-true for father and son team, Sean Sorsby-Eichelmann and his 10-year-old son, Nicholas. Both avid hunters, Sean and Nicholas have been hunting together before but not like this. Sean’s lifelong dream was to harvest big, exotic game, namely a bison. But believing it to be too expensive, he kept putting off his dream until last December. Sean and Nicholas’ dream came true when Nicholas harvested a 1200-pound watusi followed shortly by Sean getting his 1000-pound bison. All total, they harvested the bison, watusi, two hogs, and two rams while visiting Dos Plumas. Can you imagine the looks they got while heading home with all those exotics on their trailer? “We respect the animals,” Sean said, “and want to make sure we don’t harvest anything we can’t use.
