The roadshows will see SIL advisors visiting local communities to bring their knowledge and expertise to the public at large.
The free drop-in sessions will provide advice and support for those receiving care or support from Suffolk County Council with a view to helping them take more control in their lives through the Direct Payment scheme.
Direct Payments are a way for individuals to control their care and support by receiving cash payments instead of a direct service from the County Council. This allows them to decide who they employee, how many people they employee and when they want and need care or support. Direct Payments can be used for a wide range of services as well as activities or equipment.
The roadshows will be stopping at the following venues in the coming months:
Felixstowe Library on Tuesday 23rd February between 1.30pm & 3.30pm
Crescent Road, Felixstowe, Suffolk, IP11 7BY
Long Melford Library on Tuesday 16th March between 2.00pm & 4.00pm
Long Melford, Sudbury, Suffolk, CO10 9JT
Oulton Broad Library on Tuesday 20th April between 2.00pm & 4.00pm
