The new Nokia E72 offers looks more akin to those of a Blackberry phone than a Nokia model due in part to its handy front facing Qwerty keyboard underneath a good sized screen, the E72 is not the latest release from the manufacturer as it was originally introduced to the market back in November of 2009 but the networks have been slow to stock this powerful device and the latest to do this is the O2 network.
Already available on Orange, Virgin Mobile, Vodafone and T-Mobile as well as a SIM Free phone the number of Nokia E72 packages has now swelled with this latest launch on O2 which many favour over its competitors for its fast mobile internet speeds.
The Nokia E72 is in prime position to take advantage of this with HSDPA technology alongside WiFi support for connecting to the internet on the move, the spacious Qwerty keyboard makes for easy text input when writing emails, texting friends and updating those social network profiles as well as just simply browsing the net.

Although this new Nokia phone may have the looks of a Blackberry device it is actually far more advanced in terms of connectivity than many of the models on offer, other features of this powerful business and personal use handset include emails in real time through Mail for Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes Traveler as well as from your Hotmail Gmail and other personal accounts and quick acces to your favourite IM services.
The E72 also offers a highly responsive Optical Navi Key to scroll quickly and smoothly through webpages emails and menus and a one-touch autofocus key when using the 5 megapixel camera.
Competition from other Nokia phones is limited although the slightly cheaper Nokia E52 and E55 offer similar text input from the front and the Nokia N97 Mini, Nokia N900 and Nokia E75 incorporate a slide out Qwerty keyboard, other manufacturers, Blackberry in particular offer more int he way of email focused devices including the touch screen Blackberry Storm 2, Blackberry 8900 and new Blackberry 9700 Bold.
LG's Qwerty phones include the latest Android release, the LG GW620 as well as some lower budget offerings including the LG GW520 and GW300 whilst Samsung have recently launched their Windows based Samsung Omnia Pro and lower specification Samsung Genio Slide.
Motorola have recently launched a good competing handset called the Motorola Milestone which not only is the latest Android 2.0 handset but also features a full slide out keyboard as well as fast internet speeds and email support.
The Nokia E72 is yet to make it onto the 3G dedicated network, 3 Mobile as well as a Pay As You Go phone but with the four current networks onboard there is already a multitude of packages to choose from.
