Winner of last year's Al Naboodah UAE PGA Junior Par 3 series, Aryan Chordia, stepped up to defend his title by winning the fourth event in this year's series by 3 clear strokes at Arabian Ranches Golf Club on Friday February 12th.

Chordia carded an outstanding 25 to claim the series signature 'red cap' ahead of a strong field of 68 junior male and female golfers.

Close scores finished the days play in both the Boy's Under 12 and Under 16 challenges. Under 16 almost provided a photo-finish of the third event with Jack Novack once again claiming the podium finish carding a 29. The battle for runner up and third played out through a countback between Rishal Lakdawala and Jorge Menkhorst both returning a 31. Lakdawala bettering his round 3 finish by grasping the runner-up position away from Menkhorst who settled for third place.

Rishi Nair fought to rise 2 spots from his most recent finish, and after scoring a strong 28 remained in a countback battle with Rayhan Thomas. Nair's grasp remained firm on the title of Under 12 with Thomas gracefully accepting the runner-up slot. Only one shot behind, with 29, was third placed Fardeen Meeran.

Play in the Girls division was as intense, with Anastasia Bakal clinging onto first place in the 12 and under category finishing with a 31 forcing Amelia McKee, 32, into second place. Ashaka Desai walked away a 36 and third place.

One of the highlights of the day's play came in the form of a brilliant shot on hole 8 by Fardeen Meeran making a hole in one.

"Our continued thanks to UAE PGA Patron, Al Naboodah, for their support of such events, and their untiring commitment in developing the game, it is sincerely appreciated, and to Callaway for their sponsorship of today's prizes" said Malcolm Young, UAE PGA Tournament Committee member. In closing Young expressed deep gratitude to the parents and the Juniors for their ongoing enthusiasm and enjoyment of the game, before adding "special thanks must be mentioned to Steve Johns, our Abu Dhabi junior golfers and their parents for making it today and participating in the event".
