The Soldiers’ & Sailors’ Civil Relief Act has only the authority to postpone foreclosure action for active members of the U.S military.In Massachusetts when a particular judgment authorizes the foreclosure from the land court, a lender then goes ahead with the foreclosure sale.
This allows the mortgage lender to notify the borrower of any default before scheduling a sale, but Boston foreclosure does not require this.
Since when the foreclosure boomed in the early nineties, Boston has been tracking foreclosure activities. Now, with foreclosures on the rise in Boston the city has responded by expanding its foreclosure prevention services.
