HIRC Pakistan presented a detailed presentation on Halal Standards Certification at Multan Chamber of Commerce. The seminar was arranged by Trade Development Authority of Pakistan - Multan division to encourage and promote investments into Halal Product Exports.
Various presentors highlighted Halal products which can be exported from Pakistan and issued related to industrial infrastructural development. Pakistan has huge export potential for Dairy, Cattle, Poultry exports as well as Halal confectionary, beverages and snacks.
"In order for Pakistani companies to enter the Global Halal Industry, their products need to be tested and verified Halal. Once they are verified Halal, they can be marketed through several government and private export promotion schemes" said Mr Raheel Iqbal, Partner at HIRC, while presiding his speech to the audience. His presentation included processes and procedures involved in Halal certification and Shariah guidelines outlining the Halal industry.
There was a positive response from Multan Chambers and its members who attended the seminar. "The business community is striving to increase exports from Pakistan and professional advisory and certification services such as of HIRC Pakistan will assist in achieving the objective" said a senior member of Multan Chamber of Commerce duing his concluding speech.
Mr Raheel Iqbal was given a certificate of recognition by TDAP and MCCI for his valuable presentation on Halal standards certification.
